- FIRE HAZARD: Never leave a lit Glowstone Candle unattended.
- PLACEMENT: Never light this candle in, on, or around anything flammable.
- SHARP EDGES: This product is made of minerals; edges may be sharp. Handle with care to avoid injury or surface damage.
- SURFACE DAMAGE: Paraffin oil can stain wood and other surfaces. It is the owner's sole responsibility to provide a protective barrier (coaster/plate) beneath the candle.
1. Filling the Reservoir
- Remove Wick: Lift the wick holder and wick out of the lamp as one piece.
- Add Oil: Place the funnel in the hole and use the measuring cup to dispense pure paraffin lamp oil or similar. Recommended: Firefly Safe & Green (scan QR code below to order).
- Do Not Overfill: Only add enough oil for the time you wish to burn. Oil may draw up the wick and pool on the surface if left unburned.
- Ratio: 5ml of oil = Approx. 1 hour of burn time. Note: flame size will alter burn time.
- Spills: If overfilled, immediately clean excess with a paper towel.
2. Scenting (Optional)
- You can combine pure plant essential oils with Firefly Safe and Green oil.
- Add 3–4 drops (more or less to adjust intensity of scent) directly into the candle before refilling.
- Note: Not all oils blend well or provide a strong scent. Recommended: Lemon, Bergamot, Sage, Cedar, Sandlewood, Eucalyptus, Lavender…experimentation may be necessary.
3. Usage & Wick Adjustment
INDOOR USE:
- Keep the wick slightly below the glass collar.
- No Smoke Rule: If the flame is too high, the oil wicks faster than it burns, causing smoke. If you see smoke, lower the wick!
OUTDOOR USE:
- Raise the wick slightly to increase resistance to wind, though this may cause smoke.
- Wind Guard: To prevent the flame from blowing against the stone (which may cause permanent discoloration), place the lamp inside a spherical glass container or lantern.
- Weather: Do not leave uncovered in rain. If water enters the wick hole, the lamp will not light until the reservoir is completely dried out.
- Sunlight: Prolonged UV exposure can fade colored minerals (Amethyst, Fluorite, etc.).
